There is just something about a campfire on the beach

Perhaps because campfires are not usually permitted on public beaches any more, but it seems like there is not much more relaxing than being able to settle down in front of the water, watching the sunset, and enjoying a fire.

Luckily, Empire, Michigan/Sleeping Bear Dunes still permits campfires in certain areas. There are metal containers ready to use and contain your fire – just bring the wood & starter, and in just a few minutes, you can be relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Lake Michigan sprawled out in front of you!
